What's the difference between a family photo session and extended family photo session?
FAMILY SESSION includes your immediate family. Mom, dad, and your kiddos.
EXTENDED FAMILY SESSION includes grandparents, your family, your siblings and their families. In the extended family sessions, each family gets their own family photos, photos of the kids, and photos of the parents. Plus you get the group photos, photos of grandparents and grandkids, etc.

How does newborn scheduling work?
We all know babies tend to come on their own schedule so scheduling your newborn session can be a bit tricky. If you'd like a newborn session with me, email me to book! I'll make sure to mark your due date on your calendar and always keep you in the back of my mind as I schedule my weeks around your due date. When you deliver, shoot me an email and we'll get you on the calendar within 1-2 weeks.
How are Fresh 48 sessions scheduled?
Due to the nature of when babies come, I only take a limited amount of Fresh 48 sessions. If you're interested in this type of session, please email me ahead of time to check for availability.

Portrait sessions take place within a 15 minute range of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The FM area has a flat fee travel rate of $25. If you are interested in a custom travel price, please contact me prior to booking.

Payment plans are offered for the first year packages only. You can split your payments into 3 or 4 payments throughout your package. Final payment is due at the time of your final session.

I recommend keeping your outfits simple. Multiple outfits can be fun (and they are sometimes worth it) but remember that kids have a limited attention span and typically the first 20 minutes of your session will result in the best photos. For this reason I recommend wearing your favorite outfit first before changing into another outfit.

travel: we serve the detroit lakes & fargo/moorhead area. if you are getting married outside of the region, ask us for a custom travel quote!

engagement session:
we are often asked if we can adjust our package to not include the engagement sessions and our answer is no. our engagement sessions are complimentary because strongly believe that you should have your session with the photographer you book for your wedding day! having a personal relationship prior to the wedding day will make your wedding day go smooth since there isn't any awkward getting to know you time! :)
